How to use an anal douche safely?

An anal douche is intended only to clean the last part of the rectum. So, you don't need to clean deeply. Rest, lukewarm water, and a cautious approach make all the difference.

Step-by-step

Before you begin

First, go to the toilet and wash your hands. Clean the douche according to the instructions for use and fill it with lukewarm water at body temperature. Do not use hot water, cold water, or add soap, oil, or other substances. A little water-based anal lubricant on the nozzle and around the anus makes insertion more comfortable.

During rinsing

Take a position that feels relaxed for you, for example, squatting, on the toilet, or lying on your side. Gently insert the nozzle a few centimeters and do not force anything. Then slowly squeeze the bulb or, with an anal showerhead, very gently let water flow in. For many people, 150 to 250 ml per rinse is enough. After rinsing
